As the owner of a new venture: Red Dolphin Publishing, I would like to thank you all for the normally fine work that you do. Fidlar-Doubleday has a fine team of print-managers that make a project happen. Many times I have had questions relating to how a book is finally assembled and all have been answered promptly and with obvious concern.

Red Dolphin has been publishing college resource materials for just over a year. In this short amount of time we have been successful in our small niche, especially California Geography. Fidlar-Doubleday has exceeded our expectations in printing two of our books: California Growing: A California Geography and Regional California. The covers are nicely designed, the colors are rich, and the overall look and feel of these books is the same as those from larger publishing houses. At a recent conference we generated a large response to these two new titles.

We started Behler Publications in early 2004 with big dreams, great ideas and a lot to learn. We used two different printers for our first book. Since March 2004, Fidlar Doubleday has produced nineteen of our titles with never a problem or even a hiccup. We are delighted with the detail and depth evident in the book cover artwork. Even the colors are much richer than books from most other digital printers.

We often print in odd sizes such as 5.25"x8" and the books are always beautifully trimmed to our specs. Furthermore, the books are consistently delivered in perfect condition and on time, even when the destination is the Philippines.

Just as an FYI, I have been dealing with a POD company called Fidlar-Doubleday (www.fidlar-doubleday.com) and they do outstanding work. In my experience, their quality surpasses any other POD printer I have used to date. As well, their prices were very low compared to a lot of the other companies. They also have very good customer service.

Anyway, just thought I would share this with everybody since it is rare I get this excited over a printing company. I know a lot of us small press companies use POD printers, and I think Fidlar is probably one of the best I've seen. The quality of the books we just got done was better than the quality we got from a traditional printer. They are definately worth checking out if you're looking for a good printer.
